Date : 15/02/2024 Case number : HC(TAB) 2972/21 Brief update: The subject case was taken up before the Trial at Bar to continue the evidence of the 36th witness (witness no: 1131) who is an executive officer incharge of security in Cinnamon Grand Hotel , the 37th witness (witness No 1110 ) & 38th witness. Witness No 1128 was also present before the court. The 23rd accused was not present in the court as he is taking medicine in the prison hospital. However, his lawyer represented him. Further cross examination of the 1131st witness was concluded. The witness No 1110 was a bellboy in Cinnamon Grand Hotel at the time period of the bomb blast. A CCTV footage that was already marked was shown to him. A bag that was brought by suicide bomber also marked through this witness. The lawyer of 2nd, 9th & 23rd accused cross examined the witness. The lawyer of the 13th accused informed the court that he relied on the questions that the lawyer of the 2nd, 9th & 23rd accused asked. As the relevant production was not in the court room at the time of the evidence in chief, again this witness was called before the court & marked a t-shirt which was wore by suicide bomber. The witness No: 2195 was a Duty manager (Lobby manager) in Cinnamon Grand hotel at the time period of the bomb blast. Relevant documents marked through this witness & relevant CCTV footage were shown to him. Lawyers of the accused informed the court that they do not intend to cross examine. Court issued summons to Witness No 1128, 1144 & 1108. Next date: The case will be taken up on 21st & 22nd of February 2024 at 1.00 p.m for further trial.
