145th Day of the Main Easter Attack Trial – HC (TAB) 2972/21

All the accused were present before the court except for the 17th accused who has passed away. The the 12th and 13th accused were represented. All the other accused appeared in person. PW 1773 was present in court.
The court refused to allow to mark the fourth page of 4VD1. The certified copies of the proceedings of 11-02-2026 was given to all the accused in open court before the proceedings began.
The 4th accused continued to cross examine the witness. The date and the signature of the 4VD(1) was marked by the 4th accused as 4VD(1)(a). The accused requested to send the signature in the statement for EQD, stating that it is not his signature. The court considered his request and made an order that once the leading of evidence finishes, the document (E1) will be sent to EQD.
The court delivered the order regarding the statement made by the 8th accused under S.16(1) of the Prevention of Terrorism Act. It was mentioned in the order that the court does not believe that the 8th accused made a statement under S. 16(1) of the PTA, since the evidence of the three witnesses of the prosecution contradicts.
Accordingly, the case was fixed for further trial on 25-02-2026 at 10.00am.
