Today the matter was taken up for the further voir dire inquiry of the 4th Accused. PW 1980, Police Sergeant No. 38640 Namal Bandara, appeared before the Honourable Court.
At the commencement of proceedings, the 18th Accused was not appeared since his illnes. Prison medical officer has sent a letter to the court mentioning that the 18th accused is not in a good condition to present today. But the prison medical officer has not mentioned his illness. Therefore, the court ordered to produce him before the chief JMO of Colombo and get a report from the JMO mentioning the illness and the treatment plan of the 18th accused.
Accordingly, the court adjourned the case today and the matter will be resumeed on 12 th of March 2026 at 10.00 a.m.
