164th Day of the Main Easter Attack Trial – HC (TAB) 2972/21

The matter was taken up before the Trial-at-Bar. All accused were present, except for the 17th accused, who had passed away. The 12th and the 13th accused were represented by a counsel. Hon. Judge Sujeewa Nishshanka was not present today due to his medical condition.
It was brought to the attention of the Court that the 14th accused had fallen ill while present in the Court. In view of his medical condition, arrangements were made for his immediate transfer to the Prison Hospital, Walikada, for medical treatments. The Court further informed that the relevant medical reports pertaining to the condition of the 14th accused were required to be submitted before the Court on the following day.
Therefore, the matter was fixed for further trial on 2nd April 2026 at 10.00 a.m.
