The Prosecution Witnesses bearing numbers 633, 637, 648, 649, 651, 639, 683, 646, 642, 643, 463, 641, 462, 420, and 476 were called before the Honourable Court today.
The witnesses were connected via a virtual platform (zoom) from Katuwapitiya Town Hall.
The said witnesses were the surviving victims of the 2019 Sri Lanka Easter bombings, specifically the Katuwapitiya church bomb blast. The evidence in chief of the witnesses were taken but no witnesses were cross-examined.
Further, the Prosecution Witnesses bearing numbers 655 to 663, 665 to 674, and 676 and 678 were summoned to be present at Katuwapitiya Town Hall on 08 April 2026 at 10.00 a.m. for the purpose of giving evidence.
