All the accused, except the 17th accused who has passed away, were present today. The 2nd, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 19th and 20th to 25th accused were represented and the others appeared in person.
The court inquired the position of the defence case and asked each accused or their counsel how they wish to lead the defence trial. All the accused mentioned that they will be making a dock statement other than the 6th accused and some will be willing to call witnesses to prove their case. Some of the accused tendered their list of witnesses today and the rest will be tendering the lists of witnesses on the 17-08-2026.
Upon the request of the accused, the court made orders to call the case records or other documents which are needed for defence case. Further, the court issued summons on the PW 1 and 3 of the list of witnesses of the 1st accused.
