Brief update : The subject case was taken up before the trial at bar for the cross examination of the third witness of the prosecution who was a security supervisor. Today the counsel for the 1st, 10th, 22nd and 24th accused cross examined the witness. During the cross examination, he marked the contradictions in the statement given by the witness to the CID and in the evidence given in court. He also brought to the notice about the Electronic Door Reading which do not indicate the name of the guest.
The counsel for the 5th and 16th accused started to cross examine the witness.
He brought to the notice the discrepancies in dates and times in the CCTV footages where Mohammed Ilham Ibrahim was in Shangri La hotel in one footage and in Pillows Restaurant in the other footage whereas both the footages have the same date and time.
Next date : The case will be taken up on 26th of October 2023 at 1.00 p.m for the cross examination of the third witness of the prosecution.
