Brief update: When this matter was taken up 25th Accused was not present before the court as he is suffering from measles. Though the 9th accused was present before the court, the lawyer who represented him informed the court that he is ill, then the court permitted to send him to the prison doctor. Therefore, the trial was taken up without the 25th & 9th accused under section 241(1)(a)(ii) of the Criminal Procedure code.
Today the matter was called before the Trial at Bar for the evidence of the 18th witness (witness no: 155). The 18th witness is a Catholic Father. He was the Shrine administrator of the St. Anthony’s church, Kochchikade when the Easter attack happened. The witness gave evidence regarding the bomb blast in the above mentioned church.

Relevant CCTV footage, photos and maps of the church also showed in the court and marked those as evidence. The evidence in chief was not concluded.
