Brief update:
Today the evidence of the 18th witness (witness no: 155) who is a Catholic priest and the administrator of the St. Anthony’s Shrine when the bomb blast took place was concluded. The relevant CCTV footage, photos and estimate of the damage to the church was marked during the further examination in chief. Also, the evidence was given regarding the van used to transport bombs for the attack.
Out of counsel for the accused, three counsel cross examined the witness and others relied on the same. During the re-examination State Counsel informed the Court that there are no questions.
Court ordered to issue summons to 176 & 177 witnesses to be present before the court on the 10th and 21 & 183 witnesses to be present before the court on the 11th.
Next dates: The case will be taken up on the 10th of January 2024 and 11th of January 2024 at 1.00 p.m.
