Date : 17/01/2024 Case number : HC(TAB) 2972/21 Brief update :The subject case was taken up before the trial at bar for the evidence of the witness No.506 and the witness No.2194. The witness No. 817 was also present before the court. The witness No.506 is a worshipper who attended the mass at St. Sebastian’s Church, Katuwapitiya on the day Easter attack happened. The relevant CCTV footage and the photos, of St. Sebastian’s church, Katuwapitiya were marked during the examination- in- chief. The witness No.2194 was a resident near the house where the suicide bomber temporarily stayed. The CDs containing CCTV footage and photos of the witness’s home were marked during the examination- in- chief. Lawyers of the all accused informed the court that they do not intend to cross examine the witness no. 506 and no. 2194 . Witness 817 was discharged. Court ordered to issue summons for witnesses PW 821, PW 862 and PW 863 to be present before the court on 23.01.2024 and PW 864 to be present before the court on 24.01.2024 Next dates : The case will be taken up on 23rd and 24th of January 2024 at 1.00 p.m for the trial; And also 6th,7th and 8th of February also fixed as trial dates.
