Brief update: The subject case was taken up before the Trial at Bar for the evidence of the 34th witness (witness no: 896), 35th witness (witness no:902) and 36th witness (Witness No:1131).
The State Counsel informed the court that the 23rd accused will not be able to come before the court because of an illness; However, the accused has informed that he is willing to keep the trial without him and a lawyer represented him.
The 896th witness is an engineer, working at Hayley’s Fenton, which has provided CCTV facilities to Kingsbury Hotel. A hard disk containing the CCTV footage was marked. Only the counsel for the 13th accused cross-examined the witness and the witness was not re-examined.
The witness no.902 is an employee in Kingsbury Hotel who serves as Director in charge of reservation of rooms. Certain documents relating to the room reservation of the bomber in Kingsbury Hotel were marked. The counsel for the 13th accused cross-examined the witness and thereafter, the witness was re-examined.
The witness no. 1131 is an executive officer in charge of security in Cinnamon Grand Hotel. The evidence – in-chief of the witness was not concluded.
Witness no. 1131 was advised to be present before the court on the 8th February 2024.
The court issued summons to witness no. 1110 to be present before the court on the 8th February 2024.
Next date: The case will be taken up on 8th of February 2024 at 1.00 p.m for further trial.
