Brief update: The subject case was taken up before the Trial at Bar to continue the evidence of the 36th witness (witness no: 1131) who is an executive officer incharge of security in Cinnamon Grand Hotel .The witness No 1110 & 2195 also present before the court.
The 23rd accused is not present in the court as he is taking medicine in the prison. However, his lawyer represented him.
The evidence in chief of the 1131st witness was concluded. Relevant CCTV footage, photos, maps & document were shown to the witness in and marked.
Lawyers for 2nd, 9th, 13th & 23rd accused informed the court that they do not intend to cross examine and asked for a date to get ready. However, firstly it was refused by judges according to facts presented by the State Counsel. Senior counsel who appears for the 2nd, 9th, & 23rd did not appear today therefore his junior counsel moved for a date for cross examination. Therefore, the counsel who appears for the 13th accused started cross examination and asked for a date for further cross examination of the witness. The Court adjourned till tomorrow (15).
