206th Day of the Main Easter Attack Trial – HC (TAB) 2972/21

Venue: Special Permanent Three-Judge High Court (Trial-at-Bar), 2nd Floor, MCC Building, Adhikarana Mawatha, Colombo 12.
All the accused, except the 17th accused who has passed away and the 13th accused who was attending to a clinic, were present today. The 2nd, 7th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 18th and 20th accused were represented and the others appeared in person. PW 2244, 2257 and 2289 were present before the court.
PW 2244 is the owner of the safe house in Paraththa road, Moratuwa, who rented the house for one year. The original lease agreement and two photos of the persons who came to sign the deed and many photos of the house were marked during a lengthy testimony. He identified the 6th accused as the one who signed the lease agreement as a witness. The witness was not cross-examined.
PW 2257 is the wife of the previous witness, who was one of the witnesses to the lease agreement. She identified the lease agreement and her signature on it. The witness was not cross-examined.
PW 2289 is the power of attorney holder of the Daluwakotuwa safe house. The Power of Attorney, the two lease agreements were marked. He identified the 10th accused as one witness to the agreement. He further identified two photographs as the lessee and the other witness to the agreement. The counsel for the 10th accused cross-examined the witness.
