All the accused, except the 17th accused who has passed away and 13th accused who is attending a clinic in the prison hospital, were present today. The 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 19th and 20th to 25th accused were represented and the others appeared in person. The main trial continued and PW 1726, 1869, 1712, 1596, 1603, 1605, 1622 and 1634 were present before the court today.
PW 1726 is a retired SOCO officer who was attached to Colombo Central SOCO unit. She has done the crime scene investigations in Kingsbury hotel. A number of PR forms and productions were marked through the witness.
PW 1605 is the OIC of the SOCO, Panadura. He has involved in the crime scene investigations in Nasmiya Villa safe house in Paraththa road, Panadura. Since the then OIC was unable to come to court due to health conditions, his evidence was also covered by the witness. Some photos, PR forms and a huge number of productions were marked through the witness.
None of the witnesses were cross-examined. Rest of the witnesses were advised to be present before the court on 20-07-2026. The court issued summons for the witnesses for the next week as well.
