172nd Day of the Main Easter Attack Trial – HC (TAB) 2972/21

Venue: Special Permanent Three-Judge High Court (Trial-at-Bar), 2nd Floor, MCC Building, Adhikarana Mawatha, Colombo 12.
The Prosecution Witnesses bearing numbers 469, 440 ,445, 448, 459, 450, 452, 464, 435, 449, 437 and 451 were called before the Honourable Court today.
The witnesses were connected via a virtual platform (zoom) from Katuwapitiya Town Hall.
The said witnesses were the surviving victims of the 2019 Sri Lanka Easter bombings, specifically the Katuwapitiya Church bomb blast. The evidence in chief of the witnesses were taken but no witnesses were cross-examined.
Further trial of the remaining witnesses from Katuwapitiya Town Hall is on 22 April 2026 at 10.00 a.m.
